Welcome to EDG Sports League (“EDG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, and participation in our league, games, and events (collectively, the “Services”).
By registering for, participating in, or otherwise engaging with EDG Sports League, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Services.
1. Eligibility
Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
Players under 18 must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
By registering, you confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
2. Registration & Payment
All participants must register online via our official website or designated registration system.
League fees must be paid in full before participation is permitted.
Fees are non-refundable except in cases of league cancellation by EDG Sports League.
Any returned payments or chargebacks may result in suspension from participation until resolved.
3. Player Conduct
All participants agree to maintain respectful behavior toward referees, staff, teammates, opponents, and spectators.
Physical violence, verbal abuse, discrimination, or unsportsmanlike conduct will result in immediate removal from the league without refund.
Players must adhere to all league rules provided before the season begins.
4. Assumption of Risk
Basketball is a physically demanding sport that carries inherent risks of injury.
By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks, including the potential for serious injury, illness, or death.
You release EDG Sports League, its owners, staff, sponsors, and venue operators from any liability for injuries, losses, or damages incurred during participation, except where prohibited by law.
5. Health & Safety
You affirm that you are in good physical condition and able to participate safely.
You agree to follow all health and safety rules, including any venue-specific guidelines (e.g., footwear requirements, COVID-19 protocols).
EDG reserves the right to remove any participant deemed unfit to play for safety reasons.
6. Scheduling & Cancellations
EDG Sports League reserves the right to adjust schedules, venues, and game formats at any time.
Games canceled due to weather, venue closures, or other unforeseen events may be rescheduled when possible.
Refunds will not be provided for missed games.
7. Media Release
By participating, you grant EDG Sports League the right to use photographs, video recordings, and likenesses of you for promotional purposes, without compensation.
If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, you must notify us in writing before participation.
8. Website Use
You may not use our website for unlawful purposes or to interfere with its operation.
All content on the website is the property of EDG Sports League and may not be copied, modified, or distributed without our permission.
9. Termination
EDG Sports League reserves the right to suspend or terminate your participation at any time for violation of these Terms or league rules.
No refunds will be issued for terminations resulting from misconduct.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [State/Province], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in [City, State].
11. Changes to Terms
EDG Sports League may update these Terms at any time.
